GENERAL INFORMATION

THE ROUTE

If you are a returning rider, the route is the same as 2015. From our after-ride poll 2015, we discovered some holes in coverage as well as where there was a bit of confusion. We have confirmed the 25 Mile route, the to and from Rest Stop 1 (39 Miles), the to and from Rest Stop 2 (62 Miles) and the 78 mile route. If 78, there will be better signage than 2015.

Also, in regards to safety, there is a 500 rider sign-up limit.

REST STOP RIDE PERKS

TORGV is a premium New Mexico century. We feel that a ride should offer the very best refreshments for riders to keep their energy up and their health in check. Each rest stop will have the following: Clean filtered water, Gatorade made with clean filtered water, PB & J sandwiches, cut bananas, cut oranges and other goodies TBD.

WANNA RIDE FOR FREE? ***VOLUNTEER SPOTS ARE FULL. THANK YOU***

With any ride there is an amount of prep work that requires the help of wonderful people. If you are interested in volunteering, email torgv at bikenm dot org with "Volunteer" in the subject bar. There will be a need for people to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for sure, and that's an interest to everyone I know.

COLLECTIBLE CYCLING JERSEY

Due to circumstances out of our control, we will not be offering a collectiable jersey for TORGV 2016. Sorry for any confusion and anyone who did order one will get that refunded either at the time of the ride or shortly after. There will be a jersey in 2017! Thanks!

TIME CHIP

Prior we had discussed implementing a time chip option with the ride; however, because this is a tour and not a race, we cannot offer it. We do encourage riders to find an app of choice to document their time and work to improve it!

SAG SUPPORT AND SAFETY

Sag support will be provided on all routes. All riders must wear CPSC, Snell or ASTM certified bicycle helmets and obey traffic laws. Riding with headphones is not allowed. Please choose routes within your capabilities and be prepared to make minor repairs. We cannot anticipate every road surface hazard or construction project you will encounter on this ride. Use common sense and caution at all times.
