Coined the "flattest century in New Mexico," the TORGV runs from the Bernalillo County / Int'l Sunport Rail Runner Station located at 113 Rio Bravo SE, ABQ NM and continues south through Isleta Reservation, Los Lunas, Belen and loops around Bernardo, NM. The route runs parallel with the Rio Grande the entire length with beautiful views and sights of the more relaxed side of New Mexican life. The ride offers multiple distance points for riders of any caliber. Tandems ride for the price of one!

TORGV 2017 takes riders on scenic flat roads through the Rio Grande Valley. The long routes pass through Isleta, Los Lunas, Belen, Bernardo and return to Albuquerque.

If you are a returning rider, the route is the same as 2016 except we will no longer have a 25 mi ride option. Ride begins at 7 am and all support operations will close at 3 pm. Century riders must start at 7 am. The routes are as follows:

39 Miles (to Rest Stop 1 Los Lunas Rail Runner Station) || GPS || QUE SHEET || SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS / CAUTIONS (coming soon)

This can be a 19.5 mile distance if a rider takes the Rail Runner back from the Los Lunas Station. Train times are 8:30 am, 1:14 pm and 5:59 pm.

62 Miles (to Rest Stop 2 SW lot at E Reinkin Ave and Jarales Rd) || GPS || QUE SHEET || SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS / CAUTIONS (coming soon)

The 62 mile route can be a 31.5 mile distance if a rider takes the Rail Runner back from the Belen Station, which is close to the route but not on it. Click here to see its location. Station is .5 miles west of Rest Stop 2. Train times are 8:20 am, 1:04 pm and 5:49 pm.

TORGV is a premium New Mexico century. We feel that a ride should offer the very best refreshments for riders to keep their energy up and their health in check. Each rest stop will have the following: Clean filtered water, Gatorade made with clean filtered water, PB & J sandwiches, cut bananas, cut oranges and other goodies TBD.

There are three rest stops on this route. RS 1 is 19.5 miles from start. RS 2 is 11.5 from RS 1. RS 3 is 20.5 miles from RS 2. RS 2 is 18.8 miles from RS 3 on the way back. RS 1 is 11.5 from RS 2 on the way back. Finish is 19.5 from RS 1 on the way back.

Registration is $45 for solo riders and tandems (both riders for price of one). There will be a $10 late fee for registrations on and after September 17th -- $55 total. Price day of ride is $60. Perks include: Ride T-shirt and TORGV stickers! Registrations on or after 9/17 may not have a ride t-shirt with their packet at packet pick-up. After ride day, shirt order will be fulfilled when printed.

Mail-in registrations are accepted though not preferred. These are $5 more to process ($50) then online registration. Mail-ins must be post marked by 9/17 to ensure registration for ride day. ALL INFORMATION must be legible and filled out competely.

You may register online till the 11:59 p.m. the 22nd of Sept. If riders sign-up on Sept 22nd their packet may have to be made at packet pick-up, which means rider may have to wait. Riders are welcome to register day of event (cash & credit card accepted) for $60. Please choose routes and distances within your capabilities and be prepared to make minor repairs. If you feel you can't make it back, use the Rail Runner to return to start location. See ride times here. SAGs and HAM radio support will be provided.


With any ride there is an amount of prep work that requires the help of wonderful people. If you are interested in volunteering, email torgv at bikenm dot org with "Volunteer" in the subject bar. There will be a need for people to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for sure, and that's an interest to everyone I know.

Day-of registration and packet pick-up will be from 6:00 - 7:00 AM at Bernalillo County Rail Runner Station (West of Broadway SE and east of 2nd street SE. Turn north on Prince Street, then West on Camino del Tren). Patrons will be able to park at the station. Riders can start the tour at or after 7:00 AM. There will be no mass start due to safety concerns, but riders are encouraged to start by 7 a.m. 100 mile riders must be on the road by 8:00 AM. All other riders should be on the road by 8:00 AM. Routes will be swept for remaining riders between the 2 PM and 3:00 PM hour.


Sag support will be provided on all routes. All riders must wear CPSC, Snell or ASTM certified bicycle helmets and obey traffic laws. Riding with headphones is not allowed. Please choose routes within your capabilities and be prepared to make minor repairs. We cannot anticipate every road surface hazard or construction project you will encounter on this ride. Use common sense and caution at all times.
