Durango 100 almost here!
The Durango 100 Century and 50 mile bicycle tour is right around the corner; July 25th. Read all about it at www.durango100.com .
This bicycle tour starts in Durango, CO and takes you south through Farmington, NM, then back up to Durango. From the High Mountains of the San Juans, through the high desert pinion and junipers, and back. The first 50 miles is mostly downhill, and riders can choose to just do half for a easy 50 mile cruise. The latter 50 miles is a gradual and steady uphill to Breen, CO where the rider will find the last 10 miles all downhill through Wildcat Canyon into Durango. There are 4 rest stops, and lunch is served at the finish.
Proceeds go towards local NM Charities in San Juan County (Navajo Missions, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Road/Trail Advocacy, to name a few). Ride to hosted by NM bike group: Velo De Animas www.velodeanimas.com, a BCNM supporting Club.
